Basketball Recap: Chippewa Hills Comes Up Short

Chippewa Hills lost against Morley Stanwood back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chippewa Hills Warriors lost 64-44 to the Morley Stanwood Mohawks. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Mohawks are ranked 159th).

Chippewa Hills has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Morley Stanwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Coming up, Chippewa Hills is taking a road trip to square off against Tri County Area at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chippewa Hills is facing Tri County Area at the right time seeing as Tri County Area is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Morley Stanwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morley Stanwood has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 184 points over their last three matchups.
