Volleyball Game Preview: Innovation Bulls vs. Gateway Panthers

The Innovation Bulls will square off against the Gateway Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Innovation had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Wekiva on Wednesday. The Bulls were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Bulls not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 3-0).

Innovation never let Wekiva on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 28-26, 25-17.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Gateway had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against Jones on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Innovation has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Gateway, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Innovation was able to grind out a solid victory over Gateway in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulls since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
