Soccer Game Preview: Bettendorf vs. Assumption

For the second straight game, Bettendorf will face off against Assumption. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bettendorf has three straight wins, Assumption has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Bettendorf barely beat Assumption the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Bettendorf have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bettendorf's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-3. As for Assumption, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.
