Recap: Clarke Prep Gators vs. Morgan Academy Senators
This season hasn't been kind to the Clarke Prep Gators, who are still winless after their ninth game. They had to suffer through a rough 74-28 loss at the hands of Morgan Academy. Clarke Prep has not had much luck with Morgan Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Morgan Academy found their leader in underclassman CJ Christopher Williams, who scored 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Speedy Parnell, who scored 12 points.
Clarke Prep's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Morgan Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Clarke Prep will head out on the road to take on Bessemer Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bessemer Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Morgan Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
