Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Eagles vs. Castle View Sabercats

Heritage hasn't had much luck against Castle View recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Heritage Eagles will host the Castle View Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Heritage faced off against Mountain Vista on Friday. Heritage had to suffer through a 92-39 loss at the hands of Mountain Vista. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-12.

Skylar Peterson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 13 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024. Meilla Collins was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Castle View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Highlands Ranch and fell 57-30. While losing is never fun, the Sabercats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Falcons are ranked third).

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Castle View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
