Wallace County came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Rawlins County, but Trey Carlson wouldn't allow it. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 69-58 on Friday with plenty of help from Carlson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last five games he's played.
Rawlins County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wallace County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
Looking ahead, Rawlins County will welcome Wheatland-Grinnell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wallace County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Greeley County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
