Basketball Recap: Gavin Feddern's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lutheran-Northeast over Plainview

Lutheran-Northeast lost against Plainview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lutheran-Northeast Eagles took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainview Pirates. Even though they lost, the Eagles' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Lutheran-Northeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Feddern, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Colston Kapels was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 17 points.

The loss snapped Lutheran-Northeast's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-8 record. As for Plainview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] the next time they take the court. Plainview will head out to face Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lutheran-Northeast will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
