Johnson Posts Huge Game in 43-13 Loss

Zion Johnson's rushing tear continued on Saturday as he dropped his 12th-straight game with 105+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry.

Grayson had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Johnson it was a similar story. When Johnson last faced Grayson back in September of 2023, he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.

South Gwinnett found a leader in Eric Ramey Iii as the squad took down Grovetown on Saturday. Ramey Iii was dynamite, rushing for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.

South Gwinnett pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Ramey Iii and South Gwinnett will venture away from home to square off against Hillgrove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Grayson Wins Ninth-Straight Thanks to Travis Burgess

Travis Burgess's big game helped extend Grayson's winning streak to nine on Saturday. Newton had no answer to Burgess as he threw for 194 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 86 yards on only six carries.

Grayson pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Burgess and Grayson will welcome Pebblebrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
