Basketball Recap: Katy Taylor Comes Up Short

Katy Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 83-48 loss at the hands of the Jordan Warriors. The Mustangs lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-44 score last time.

Katy Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Jordan, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Katy Taylor will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Paetow at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Jordan and Dickinson will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Dickinson likes a good challenge.
