They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the South Harrison Hawks. That's more bragging rights for Tyler, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
McKenzie Utt spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Macey Shuman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Livingston, who went 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBI.
