Volleyball Recap: Burncoat Takes a Loss

Burncoat lost against Assabet Valley RVT back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 3-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burncoat took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-15, 15-6.

Jayden Mott paced Burncoat's offense, picking up 19 kills. Mott got some help from Kevin Rojas and his 28 assists. Finally, Mott was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Burncoat's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Assabet Valley RVT, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Burncoat didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against University Park on the 12th. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Innovation Academy on the 12th.
