Prosser extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-7. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to the East Valley Red Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.
Layla Barnhart made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
As for East Valley, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games.
On East Valley's side, Presley Weatherley and Elise Heater made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Weatherley struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Heater tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Weatherley has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Weatherley went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Heater went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, East Valley got a massive performance out of Leila Cook, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Cook has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Prosser wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-3 defeat against Ephrata on the 18th. As for East Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Othello on the 18th.
