Volleyball Recap: West Harrison Comes Up Short

West Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Gulfport Admirals, falling 3-0. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Admirals when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While West Harrison was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-23.

Emma Bunn paced West Harrison's offense, picking up nine kills. Bunn got some help from Taylor Rae Norwood and her 16 assists.

West Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Gulfport, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Harrison is set to square off against their familiar foe D'Iberville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gulfport will challenge rival Biloxi at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
