Baseball Recap: Ponder Comes Up Short

Ponder and Gunter squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ponder had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-4 loss on Thursday.

Ponder's loss dropped their record down to 17-15-1. As for Gunter, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-8.

While Ponder had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
