The McEwen Warriors will face off against the Perry County Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McEwen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, McEwen was able to grind out a solid win over Perry County, taking the game 6-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Tylon Carter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Carter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Cayden Wallace looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kainan Gill, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Gill is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben McPherson, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Perry County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs. As for McEwen, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
