Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Boonton's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boonton can now relate to. They fell 7-3 to the New Milford Knights on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in March.

The defeat snapped Boonton's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-11 record. As for New Milford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

Boonton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Milford, they will square off against Wallkill Valley on Thursday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
