Football Recap: Starkville Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Starkville Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Chambers Academy Rebels 14-13. That's more bragging rights for the Volunteers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Starkville Academy and Chambers Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Volunteers see the field they'll take on Winston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Chambers Academy, their break will end when they face Valiant Cross Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
