Football Recap: Junayde Richardson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Batavia

East/World of Inquiry won against Honeoye Falls-Lima last Friday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. East/World of Inquiry blew past the Batavia Blue Devils 34-12. East/World of Inquiry might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

East/World of Inquiry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Junayde Richardson led the charge by rushing for 57 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes. Richardson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making two total tackles. Dezmon Jackson was in the mix too, providing East/World of Inquiry with two scores.

The win made it two in a row for East/World of Inquiry and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points over those games. As for Batavia, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Coming up, East/World of Inquiry will challenge Canandaigua Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East/World of Inquiry will need to watch out since the Gray Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Batavia, they have already played their next game, a 34-12 defeat against East on the 10th.
