Baseball Recap: Mangum Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mangum's offense. They fell just short of the MacArthur Highlanders by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Derek Hamon was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple.

Mangum's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for MacArthur, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Mangum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for MacArthur, they will head out to face off against Norman North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
