Basketball Game Preview: Prentiss Christian Saints vs. Laurel Christian Lions

Prentiss Christian hasn't had much luck against Laurel Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Prentiss Christian is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were outmatched by Sylva Bay Academy and fell 56-17. Prentiss Christian was down 47-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Laurel Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 50-32 to Newton County Academy.

Prentiss Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Laurel Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Prentiss Christian took a serious blow against Laurel Christian in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-5. Can Prentiss Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
