Recap: Apalachee Wildcats vs. M.L. King Lions
On Friday, Apalachee came up short against M.L. King and fell 57-47. While losing is never fun, Apalachee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while M.L. King is ranked 114th).
Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for M.L. King. That makes it five consecutive games in which Ruzvidzo jr. has scored at least 25% of M.L. King's points. Another player making a difference was Jaleon Johnson, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Apalachee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for M.L. King, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Apalachee will be home for the holidays to greet East Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. M.L. King won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Social Circle at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th.
