Basketball Recap: West Limestone Takes a Loss

West Limestone's last matchup with Tanner could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 75-48 loss at the hands of the Rattlers. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tanner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rickey Speights Jr., who shot 57% from the field to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. Kaden Freeman was another key player, going 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and seven boards.

West Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tanner, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, West Limestone will finish 2025 at home by hosting Priceville at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Tanner and Shelbyville Central will round out the year against one another at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
