Basketball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the East Chambers Buccaneers, falling 70-12. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jasper's record is now 4-12. As for East Chambers, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Jasper and East Chambers could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Jasper (ranked 1256th) will meet Hamshire-Fannett (ranked 437th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Chambers will face off against Reeves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday down 500 places (547 vs. 47).
