Baseball Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial lost against Southwest EC back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 10-5 to the Eagles.

Jacob Gastelum was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Imperial has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Southwest EC, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

While Imperial had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
