Recap: Farwell Steers vs. Nazareth Swifts
The Farwell Steers had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They took down Nazareth 41-24. Given Farwell's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Nazareth is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landri Richey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Farwell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Richey, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds.
Farwell's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Nazareth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Seminole the next time they take the court. Farwell will head out to face Seminole at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Nazareth will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
