Softball Recap: Annapolis Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Annapolis waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Redford Union Panthers with a sharp 19-2 victory. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2018.

Alexis Mousseau 2028 made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Mousseau 2028 was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Mousseau 2028 is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Alona Debrowsky 2027 was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Cadzow 2026, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Annapolis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Annapolis' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Redford Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Coming up, Redford Union will face off against Dearborn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Annapolis will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers face off against the Pioneers, they'll take on Annapolis again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
