Recap: Parkway South Patriots vs. Northwest Lions
The Parkway South Patriots won the last time they faced the Northwest Lions, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Parkway South walked away with a 49-42 victory over Northwest. The win made it back-to-back wins for Parkway South.
Parkway South's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eddie Ahearn, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Ahearn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Shanfeld, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Parkway South pushed their record up to 4-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Northwest, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Parkway South will head out on the road to face off against MICDS at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. St. Clair is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
