Basketball Recap: Westlake Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Westlake ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Dripping Springs Tigers by a score of 57-50. That's more bragging rights for the Chaparrals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westlake pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Dripping Springs, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Akins the next time they take the court. Dripping Springs will head out to face Akins at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Westlake will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
