Beaver took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Milford Tigers 3-2. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Beaver was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 16-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Looking ahead, Beaver will take on Gunnison Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Tintic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
