Softball Recap: West Jefferson Victorious

West Jefferson was handed a 21-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-32 victory over the Wilder Wildcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the match before.

The win got West Jefferson back to even at 1-1. As for Wilder, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

West Jefferson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Plymouth at 11:00 a.m. on April 5th. Wilder will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Rimrock at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st. Wilder knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rimrock likes a good challenge.
