Volleyball Recap: Foley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Foley dropped to 9-18 on Thursday, ending the team's three-match streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Robertsdale Golden Bears, falling 3-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Bears from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

As for Robertsdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-19 record this season. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

Leading Robertsdale to victory were Macy Smith and Ashtyn Blanco. Smith had three digs and two aces, while Blanco had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Blanco has posted over her last six matchups.

Looking ahead, Foley will host Murphy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Robertsdale, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Baker on the 30th.
