Football Recap: Block Comes Up Short

Block extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a hard 22-8 fall against the LaSalle Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 50-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for LaSalle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

A big part of LaSalle's victory came down to the chemistry between Tuff Street and his top target Alex Richmond. Street rushed for 190 yards and one TD while picking up 11.9 yards per carry while Richmond rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. Street was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.

Block didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-16 defeat against Ringgold on the 3rd. As for LaSalle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 36-0 win against Pickering on the 3rd.
