Baseball Recap: Harmony Comes Up Short

Harmony extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-18 in the process. They came up short against New Diana, falling 12-0. Considering the last time Harmony couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for New Diana, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games.

For New Diana's part, Colt McDowell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. McDowell has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, New Diana got a massive performance out of Justice Hankins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs Hankins has posted since back in March of 2024. Remi Rountree was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Harmony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Diana, they will head out to face off against White Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
