Soccer Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas entered their matchup against Boaz on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Douglas Eagles fell just short of the Boaz Pirates by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Josue Juarez wasn't going to let Boaz walk away unscathed as he scored both of Douglas' goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Douglas now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Boaz, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will host Susan Moore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boaz, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scottsboro at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
