Lockport proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Lewiston-Porter Lancers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since May 27, 2025.

Lockport's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lewiston-Porter, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lockport will square off against North Tonawanda at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewiston-Porter, they will venture away from home to challenge Grand Island at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
