Volleyball Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short

Cary-Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Viator Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Audrey Neuses paced Cary-Grove's offense, picking up five kills. Neuses got some help from Katy Jauch and her six assists.

Cary-Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Saint Viator, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Cary-Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Addison Trail on the 11th. As for Saint Viator, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Grant Community on the 11th.
