Basketball Game Preview: Schenectady Patriots vs. Colonie Central Wolfpack

Schenectady is 0-9 against Colonie Central since January of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Schenectady Patriots will welcome the Colonie Central Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Schenectady managed to keep up with Albany until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Schenectady lost 71-47 to Albany. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 467th, while the Falcons are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Colonie Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Christian Brothers Academy and fell 70-43.

Colonie Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Schenectady, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Schenectady came up short against Colonie Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 84-74. Thankfully for Schenectady, Cameron Trimarchi (who posted 28 points and seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
