Basketball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

Anderson lost against Dripping Springs back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Anderson Trojans were dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of the Dripping Springs Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 968th, while the Tigers are ranked 286th).

Anderson's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Dripping Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Anderson will take on Cedar Creek in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dripping Springs, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bowie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Dripping Springs likes a good challenge.
