Softball Recap: Jamestown Red & Green vs. Southwestern Trojans
Jamestown couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Their rough 12-0 defeat to the Southwestern Trojans on Monday might stick with them for a while. The loss means Jamestown is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Southwestern's part, Siri Dubois was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Peyton Lillie, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, a stolen base, and a double.
The win got Southwestern back to even at 2-2.
Jamestown will head out on the road to square off against Dunkirk at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Falconer at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
