Softball Recap: Polo Takes a Loss

Polo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Morrison Mustangs, falling 8-1. If the Marcos were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Polo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cheyenna (Chey) Wilkins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Wilkins' first of the season.

Polo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Morrison, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

While Polo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
