Softball Recap: Holy Trinity Catholic's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Holy Trinity Catholic took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Van Buren County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Warriors on Friday. While the Crusaders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win was the third in a row for Holy Trinity Catholic, bringing their record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Van Buren County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Holy Trinity Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-2 win against WACO on the 7th. Van Buren County has also already played their next matchup (against Montezuma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
