Basketball Recap: Gross Catholic Cougars vs. Louisville Lions
The Gross Catholic Cougars won the last time they faced the Louisville Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. Gross Catholic put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 66-44 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-19.
Despite the loss, Louisville saw an underclassman step up: Jase Ostblom scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ostblom has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sam Luellen, who scored eight points.
Gross Catholic's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Louisville, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Gross Catholic will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Badgers. As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
