Colonial Christian is 2-8 against Crosspointe Christian Academy since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. Colonial Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.

On Monday, Colonial Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Tabernacle Christian.

Ronin Young put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted seven points along with 17 rebounds and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Isaac Grubb, who earned nine points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Crosspointe Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. The contest between the Panthers and Horizon Christian didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 78-59. The Panthers haven't had much luck with Horizon Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Crosspointe Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carter Ellis dropped a double-double with 27 points and 21 boards. Levi Hobleman was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points.

Colonial Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Colonial Christian was taken down by Crosspointe Christian Academy 64-30 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Panthers' William Yeiter, who shot 71% from the field en route to 21 points. Now that the Cougars know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
