Cathedral Prep extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Kamryn Resurreccion. The Ramblers came out on top against the Ursuline Fighting Irish by a score of 3-1 on Thursday thanks in part to Resurreccion, who had 42 assists and 12 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last 19 times she's played.

While Cathedral Prep might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Ursuline scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23.

Cathedral Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kharhys Nickson out in front who had eight blocks, six kills, six aces, and three digs. Those eight blocks gave Nickson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Moore, who had 18 digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good server: Cathedral Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Ursuline's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Reagan Sambroak, who had 16 assists and nine digs, and Jess Hass, who had ten digs and one assist.

The win got Cathedral Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Ursuline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Cathedral Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Warren on the 2nd. As for Ursuline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Harding on the 2nd.
