Millikan dropped their record down to 17-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They lost 9-3 to the Templeton Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since February 24, 2024.

Millikan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Pack, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Templeton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.

On Templeton's side, Charlie Kline made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Kline has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Andrew Raab was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Millikan has already played their next match, a 6-3 win against Long Beach Poly on the 23rd. As for Templeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Atascadero on the 22nd.
