Basketball Recap: Jacorian Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dixon over South Lenoir

Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They fell 50-37 to the South Lenoir Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 13 points.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacorian Taylor, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. Taylor has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Grady Adams, who earned 12 points.

Dixon's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for South Lenoir, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Dixon will look to defend their home court on Friday against Croatan at 7:30 p.m. Croatan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Dixon likes a good challenge. As for South Lenoir, they will head out to take on James Kenan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lenoir is facing James Kenan at the right time seeing as James Kenan is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
