Baseball Recap: Wes-Del Takes a Loss

Wes-Del made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Yorktown, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Wes-Del has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Yorktown, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Wes-Del didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Eastern Hancock on the 9th. As for Yorktown, they will head out on the road to square off against Shenandoah at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
