Soccer Game Preview: Burke vs. Washington International

Burke hasn't had much luck against Washington International recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bengals will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. Burke's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Burke and Sandy Spring Friends finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Burke was without their leading scorer, Marli Norman, in Tuesday's contest. With Norman sidelined, Lillie Eiken got her first action of the season.

Meanwhile, Washington International kept a clean sheet against Sandy Spring Friends back in September. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Wildebeests.

Burke's draw gives them a new season record of 2-0-2. As for Washington International, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Burke might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Washington International when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bengals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
