Volleyball Recap: Sebeka Comes Up Short

Sebeka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Henning Hornets. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sebeka lost, don't look at Emma Ness. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs. Ness is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Natalie Cardini also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sebeka's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Henning, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebeka will square off against Pine River-Backus at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henning, they will challenge Brandon/Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
