Basketball Recap: El Toro Takes a Loss

El Toro lost against Tesoro back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The El Toro Chargers fell 71-62 to the Tesoro Titans. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Titans are ranked 121st).

This is the second loss in a row for El Toro and nudges their season record down to 11-8. As for Tesoro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

El Toro will face off against Saddleback at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tesoro, they will head out on the road to take on San Clemente at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Clemente is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.5 points per game this season.
